Debbie D’Amore Biography
 
Currently employed in the Office of the Pima County School Superintendent as Chief Deputy. Duties include:
  • Serve as Educational Service Agency Director
  • Provide grants management for educational programs in the county and state
  • Develop partnerships with local schools/districts to provide services in professional development, curriculum and related educational services
Has also served as the Superintendent for the Pima Accommodation District. Prior experience as an Assistant Superintendent in the Vail School District, Director of Curriculum and Professional Development, middle school principal and teacher. Has also taught in the Flowing Wells School District in Tucson. Holds a Master’s Degree in Teaching and Teacher Education from the University of Arizona, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from the University of Arizona. Active in various professional and community organizations including:
  • Professional Preparation Board for Teachers – University of Arizona
    Co-chair of Professional Development subcommittee
  • Chair of Southern Arizona Professional Developers
  • Facilitator of Southern Arizona Curriculum Directors
  • Former School-to-Work Board member and chair
  • State wide Induction Committee with Arizona Department of Education
  • Professional Development Leadership Academy
  • Chair of Board of Governors at St. Michael’s and All Angels School

Nine-year-old daughter; three stepsons
