| Governor's Renewable Energy |
| |
On January 5, 2010, Governor Jan Brewer issued Executive Order 2010-02 in order to encourage the development of the Renewable Energy industry in Arizona. In response to this order, two meetings were held to further the effort of making Arizona the most hospitable place for renewable energy in the world.
The first meeting, a plenary exercise, was held on February 11, 2010 and was convened for the purpose of identifying ways government could better respond to industry demands. As a result of this meeting a report was generated that contains10 action items the state can pursue in its goal of becoming the leader in terms of renewable energy generation and transmission. That report is available for download here (Report from Governor’s Plenary Session – February 11, 2010).
On April 15, 2010, the Governor’s Renewable Energy Summit was held to discuss the results of the plenary exercise as well as to gather additional information from the public and private sectors, including generators, manufacturers, bankers, environmentalists and government agencies.
The materials from each of these meetings can be found by following the links on the left.
In a further effort to broaden the discussion of renewable energy, the form below is available to all interested parties to provide feedback and suggestions on how Arizona can become more hospitable for renewable energy. |
