Every young person who graduates from Arizona’s schools is truly prepared for a world of competition and innovation. |
| |
History: |
In 2003, prior to the creation of a state P-20 Council (Council), Arizona business leaders began the P-20 dialogue by publishing a paper entitled, “P-20: An Approach to Integrated Learning.” This paper can be found here: http://www.greaterphoenixleadership.com/CommunityIssue.aspx?IssueID=1&ProgramID=3
In 2005, Governor Napolitano created the Council by Executive Order in an effort to convene major stakeholders to shape a common vision for education reform efforts in Arizona. In December 2006, the Council presented 32 recommendations to Governor Napolitano. Since then, the Council has been working to implement each of their recommendations through committee work, development of public will, collaboration with numerous business and education partners, and through legislative and policy making efforts. |
